Prior to joining Muzinich in November 2005; Mark worked with Mazars USA LLP- Muzinich’ s global audit firm, with a focus in the financial services area. Mark spent over fifteen years working at Mazars USA LLP (November 1988 to October 2005), the last six years as a partner. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Saint John’s University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Paul was Managing Director and Head of Investment Operations for New York Life Investment Management, where he spent 10 years leading the operations, technology delivery, marketing, client services, administration, and financial functions supporting the Fixed Income Investors division of the firm. Previously, he managed product and project management functions to support the Investor Services division at J.P. Morgan Chase. He also managed the corporate treasury and investment accounting functions at CNA Financial. Paul earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting at Rider University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Adam received an A.B. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a member of The Yale Law Journal. He served as a law clerk to Hon. Dennis Jacobs (who was at that time the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit) and then worked as a lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. After founding and selling a financial technology company, Adam joined Muzinich & Co. in 2015. He previously held Series 24, 79, 62, and 63 licenses and is currently admitted to the New York bar.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Michael worked for Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. in Cologne, Germany where he was an account officer heading the handling of European government and multinational organizations. Previously, he worked for Manufacturers Hanover Trust and for Deutsche Bank where he completed Deutsche Bank’s professional training program. Michael is a graduate of the German Banking Academy.

Alex joined Muzinich in September 2015 and serves as Chief Operating Officer for Europe & Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Muzinich, Alex was Head of Fund Oversight at Neuberger Berman and was responsible for the firm’s non-US investment funds platform (including its Irish UCITS umbrella of 36 sub-funds AUM c.€25bn) and the development of the firm’s product propositions in Europe, Asia and LatAm. Prior to that, Alex held roles at LV Asset Management, Investec Asset Management and BNY Mellon.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Cheryl was a Vice President at GSC Partners, a US and U.K.-based investment adviser specializing in corporate debt including distressed and mezzanine debt, as well as structured products. Previously, she served as a Director for distressed debt and equity hedge fund investment adviser, Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis & Co., Inc. Cheryl earned a B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Mount Holyoke College where she was a Sarah Williston Scholar, and an M. Phil. in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from Oxford University where she was a Marshall Scholar focusing on development economics and oil policy.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Fenton was with Credit Suisse, where he spent 5 years as Chief of Staff overseeing Global Human Resources, Branding, Corporate Communications, Corporate Citizenship and the Centers of Excellence and 4 years as Chief Operating Officer of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice at McKinsey & Co and in investment banking, primarily with Merrill Lynch in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Fenton earned a B.S. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is the former Chair of the Parents’ Advisory Board and the Bing OSP Council at Stanford University.

Tatjana Greil-Castro joined Muzinich in 2007 and is a Portfolio Manager with nearly three decades’ corporate credit experience. She is a founding member of the European Leveraged Finance Association and a member of the European Central Bank’s Bond Market Contact Group. Tatjana is also a keen advocate for sustainability. She is currently working on developing a climate impact strategy that seeks to provide financing to developing economies to address climate change adaptation and mitigation in support of the Paris Agreement. Her passion is interwoven across her corporate and personal life and Tatjana also owns a farm where she is actively seeking solutions that address the issues around carbon emissions from agricultural practices as well as the broader complexities of sustainable farming. Prior to joining Muzinich, Tatjana worked for Metlife Investments, where she served as an Associate Director of the High Return Unit. Tatjana also worked as Senior Portfolio Manager in European high yield for Fortis Investments and as a Portfolio Manager and Credit Analyst at Legal & General Investment Management. She started her career as a high yield telecom analyst with Merrill Lynch. She has an M.Sc./B.S. in Economics from the University of Vienna, a Masters from the Kiel Institute of World Economics in Germany, and a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Michael is Co-Head of Public Markets/Portfolio Manager at Muzinich and has 36 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Michael was president and Head of the High Yield Division at Seix Advisors, Inc where he was the founding partner of the high yield strategy. Prior to Seix Advisors, Michael served in various research and portfolio management capacities at American General Corp. and at Capital Holding Corporation. Michael holds a B.A. in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. from Rice University. Michael holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Anthony is a Portfolio Manager at Muzinich and has 20 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Anthony was an investment grade credit trader at Société Géneralé for four years focusing on the consumer, retail and industrial sectors. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in debt capital markets at Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank where he advised corporations on financing and solution strategies. Anthony holds a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.

Ian joined Muzinich in 2013. He has Portfolio Management responsibilities on our Investment Grade and Crossover Strategies. Prior to joining Muzinich, Ian spent two years at the Royal Bank of Canada in their Wealth and Investment Management division, and previously worked at Lazard and JP Morgan. Ian earned a Masters in Engineering from the University of Oxford, where he received academic awards including a scholarship from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Ian sits on the Engagement Committee of the European Leveraged Finance Association, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a candidate for the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Warren is a Portfolio Manager at Muzinich and has 24 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Warren worked for Schroders, where he was a Global Portfolio Manager and later, the Senior Portfolio Manager for Global Emerging Markets where he helped to develop the firm’s emerging markets corporate capabilities. Previously, Warren was the Head of European Money Markets at UniCredito Italiano. Warren has a BSc in Mathematics for Business from the Middlesex University London, and later received his MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance from the CASS Business School. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Andrew is Global Head of Research at Muzinich and has 28 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Andrew worked for Barclays Capital where he was a senior wireless telecommunications analyst. Prior to that, he worked at Salomon Smith Barney. Andrew holds a B.S. in Management Science from Carnegie-Mellon University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Senan joined Muzinich in 2014 and is the Director of Research – Europe. Senan has over 20 years’ corporate credit research experience. She is a member of the Muzinich ESG Advisory, Integration Groups and ESG Eligibility Committee. Having served as a board member previously, she is also a member of the Advisory Committee, the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the ESG Committee for the European Leveraged Finance Association (ELFA). Prior to joining Muzinich, Senan was with Schroders where she worked as a Senior Credit Analyst with a focus on high yield. Previously, Senan worked as an Associate Director at Barclays Capital in European High Yield Research. Her experience also includes private equity with Turkven and financial audit with Deloitte. Senan earned a BA in Management from Bogazici University and an MBA from INSEAD. She holds the Certified Public Accountant designation in Türkiye and has the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.

Bryan is a Portfolio Manager at Muzinich and has 31 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Bryan worked for Pinebridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments) where he served as Managing Director, Head of High Yield for the last five years of his tenure. Bryan started his career in the banking sector. He worked in the media and cable groups at the Union Bank of California and Banque Paribas. Previously, he participated in the start of Société Générale’s cable and media group. Bryan received a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles where he was a Phi Beta Kappa scholar, and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Torben is a Portfolio Manager at Muzinich and has 33 years of corporate credit experience. Prior to joining Muzinich, Torben worked for ECM Asset Management Limited, a Wells Fargo company, where he was Head of Sub-Investment Grade responsible for overseeing loan and high yield investments in asset-class-specific portfolios, as well as across ECM’s multi-asset-class portfolios. Prior to this Torben was with the Danske Bank Group based in Copenhagen and London. Torben has more than 20 years of experience in corporate banking - the leveraged finance market in particular. Torben holds an Executive MBA from London Business School.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Thomas worked as an investment analyst at Trafalgar Asset Managers, a distressed-debt hedge fund. Prior to that, he worked as a financial analyst at GE Capital. Thomas has a Masters in Finance from London Business School, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has an M.Sc. in Corporate Finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, France.

Mel worked at Muzinich & Co. from 2011 to 2020 as a credit analyst. He moved to Singapore in 2017 to focus on Asia ex-China credit across high yield and investment grade, having previously covered European credit in London. In 2023 Mel rejoined the Firm as a Portfolio Manager focused on Asia Credit. Prior to his return, he worked at Global Evolution where he was Head of Asia Credit. Mel’s previous experiences include being a Director at MetLife Investments Limited where he served in both the High Grade and High Return teams. He also served as an Associate Analyst in the Leveraged Finance team of the European Corporate Finance department at Moody’s Investors Service in London. Mel earned a B.A. in Economics, with Honours, from Cambridge University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation as well as the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.

Huff Asset Management Co. where he served as a Senior Analyst for high yield bonds, senior loans, public equity and private equity investments across a number of industrial sectors. Previously, after six years in chemical manufacturing companies, Greg served as the Director of Corporate Finance for GenTek, Inc. a manufacturer of industrial components and performance chemicals. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Cum Laude, from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. Greg holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

He has spent over a decade working in High Yield both as an analyst and portfolio manager, and prior to that worked in credit restructuring and interest rate derivatives since 2007. Jamie earned a First Class Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Manchester and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Stuart worked for ECM Asset Management Limited, where he was a Portfolio Manager responsible for loan and high yield investments in multi-strategy and asset-class-specific programmes and credit analysis of senior and subordinated loan positions across a wide range of industries for all of ECM’s portfolios. Stuart started his career at Tullett & Tokyo Liberty Ltd. Stuart earned a B.Sc. from the Faculty of Science at St Andrews University.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Sam was with ECM Asset Management Limited, where he was a Portfolio Manager responsible for loan and high yield investments in the firm’s pooled loan programmes, as well as being responsible for loan trading across all ECM portfolios. Sam started his career at Bank of Scotland and BNP Paribas before ECM. He is a graduate of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Brian Yorke joined Muzinich in 2021 as Global Head of CLO Management and Portfolio Manager. Most recently Brian was at Ostrum Asset Management U.S. as Global Head of Loan and Structured Credit. Prior to that, Brian Yorke was Head of Trading, Head of Global Performing Credit Portfolio Management and Portfolio Manager for Bardin Hill Investment Partners (formerly Halcyon Capital Management). Prior to joining Bardin Hill, he held a number of positions, including Head of Syndicated Bank Loan Trading at Seix Advisors; Bank Loan Trader and Junior Portfolio Manager in Prudential Investment Management’s Syndicated Bank Loan Group, where he specialized in CLO portfolio management and participated in the launch and management of nine CLO portfolios; a number of other positions within Prudential including Senior Investment Analyst in their Private Fixed Income division, Analyst for Prudential Capital Partners and Analyst for the Credit and Portfolio Management Division of the Prudential Capital Group. Brian received a B.S. from the University of Scranton and his M.B.A. from Fordham University with Phi Kappa Phi honors.

Kevin joined Muzinich in 2017. He serves as a Portfolio Manager focusing on US High Yield credits after spending 20 years as a research analyst primarily in the US high yield market, covering a variety of sectors across buy side, sell side, and rating agency roles. Previously, as a Senior Credit Analyst for Muzinich, Kevin covered the gaming, lodging, leisure, airlines, homebuilders/building products, packaging and transportation sectors. Prior to joining Muzinich, Kevin was a high yield corporate Credit Analyst most recently at Citigroup and before that at Goldman Sachs, Moody’s, Lazard, PrinceRidge and Pali Capital. Kevin earned a B.A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Kirsten is Co-Head of Pan European Private Debt. Before joining Muzinich, Kirsten worked as a Managing Director in the principal debt investing team at Macquarie, responsible for sourcing and executing transactions ranging from leveraged senior, unitranche and mezzanine debt to equity in the UK, Germany and Benelux. Previously, she worked for Silver Point Capital, a U.S.-based credit/distressed fund, in the private debt team in Europe. Kirsten started her career at Morgan Stanley in 1999, working in the generalist M&A and Leveraged Finance teams in Germany and London. Kirsten graduated from ESB Reutlingen and Middlesex University London with a B.A. (Hon) in European Business Administration.

Rafael is Head of Private Debt, Iberia. Before joining Muzinich, Rafael was a partner at Hutton Collins Partners LLP, a primary subordinated debt/preferred equity investment firm. Previously, Rafael held a number of positions in middle-market investing, lending and credit. He spent two years at Mercapital, a middle-market private equity firm and five years at Merrill Lynch in their credit team and later in leveraged finance, originating and executing senior and subordinated debt investments. He started his career at Chemical Bank/Chase Manhattan Bank in Madrid. Rafael graduated from ICADE in Spain and Groupe ESC Reims in France with a B.A. (Hons) in European Business Administration.

Carlo is Co-Head of Capital Solutions, Pan Europe. He contributed to designing the Capital Solutions strategy and is member of its investment committee. Before joining Muzinich, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Financing Advisory and Restructuring for Europe at Greenhill, an American investment bank. Prior to that, Carlo worked at Lazard in New York and Milan. During his career at Greenhill and Lazard, he advised corporates and credit funds on complex financing and restructuring situations, with more than 30 completed transactions in North America and Europe across a number of sectors. Carlo has a bachelor degree in International Economics and Management and a Master of Science in Finance from Bocconi University.

Gianluca is Head of Parallel Lending and Chief Data Scientist. He has structured the Parallel Lending Strategy and the Capital Solutions Strategy. He serves in both the Investment Committee. Before Joining Muzinich, Gianluca has founded Springrowth SGR and he has been General Manager in UCBM Research Hospital, Head of Group Credit Treasury in Unicredit and Head of ALM and Capital Management in Capitalia Banking Group. Gianluca has the full professor qualification in Accounting & Management; he holds a PhD in International Accounting and he has written several books on Financial Markets and Risk Management with MacMillan-Palgrave.

Gianpaolo has been responsible for the investment origination and execution activity of the parallel lending strategy from inception. He also contributed to designing the Capital Solutions Strategy. He serves on the Investment Committees for both Parallel Lending and Capital Solutions. Milan based, he oversees Italian private credit investments for the various different strategies. Before joining Muzinich, Gianpaolo worked at Mediobanca for over 12 years in various positions: first in the Milan Leveraged Finance team and later in London where he became Head of UK Debt Origination (Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, DCM and derivatives). For a number of years he also covered the Nordic and US markets. He earned a degree from Bocconi University (Milan) in Business Administration.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Michael was a Senior Associate at Credit Suisse where he was responsible for investment evaluation, execution, and monitoring within CSAM’s private business development company. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Michael was an Assistant Vice President at GE Antares Capital in New York and an Assistant Vice President at Madison Capital Funding LLC in Chicago, where he executed middle market leverage finance transactions for private equity backed companies. Michael graduated from Boston University with a BA in Chemistry.

Andrew runs Muzinich & Co.’s Asia Pacific business and has 20 years of experience in Financial Markets with a specialization in Asia Pacific having set up and run businesses covering Private Debt, Syndicated Loans, Special Situations and Distressed Debt in the region. In 2020, Andrew established Muzinich & Co.’s Private Debt business in Asia Pacific and is the lead portfolio manager and an investment committee member on the firm’s Asia Pacific Private Debt strategy.
Prior to joining Muzinich & Co., Andrew was Head of Global Loans and Special Situations, Asia Pacific at HSBC and Head of Trading for Loans and Special Situations, Asia ex Japan at Nomura where he founded and established both HSBC’s and Nomura’s Private Debt and Special Situations businesses.
Andrew was also a member of HSBC Asia Pacific Fixed Income Executive Committee and HSBC Global Credit Executive Committee. He served as the chairperson of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association Secondary Loan committee from 2018 to 2020. Andrew is a graduate of University of Melbourne.

Alok joined Muzinich in February 2020 and is the Global Head of Aviation Finance. He has over 20 years of experience in structured finance and prior to joining Muzinich was head of aviation finance at Investec, a FTSE 250 investment bank. He worked for nearly 14 years in Investec and was one of the founding members of the aviation finance business. He was instrumental in building their aviation finance fund platform and also established aviation debt funds for institutional investors. Alok has extensive industry relationships across financial institutions, leasing companies, manufacturers and airlines and is a regular speaker at aviation conferences. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Calcutta University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant, MBA (Finance) from India.

Jeff is Co-Head of US Private Debt and has over 30 years of experience in originating, structuring and investing in private debt and equity of middle market companies. Prior to joining Muzinich, he was a Managing General Partner of Global Leveraged Capital Management LLC, a firm he co-founded in 2005. Previously, he held a number of senior management positions during his 17 years with BNP Paribas, including Head of US Corporate Investment Banking and Executive Committee member, Head of North America Acquisition Finance & Loan Structuring, and Head of NY Merchant Banking, amongst other senior postions. Jeff received his B.A. in Economics from Albion College and his M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Michigan.

John is Co-Head of UK Private Debt at Muzinich & Co. Prior to joining Muzinich in 2017, John previously spent the past 11 years lending to UK mid-market businesses. He was a Managing Director in Investec Bank’s Growth and Acquisition Finance division where he oversaw a number of notable transactions in industry-recognisable names across a variety of sectors. His role focused on the origination, execution and monitoring of transactions, providing finance across the capital structure in both sponsored and sponsorless deals. Before joining Investec John was a Partner at Livingstone Partners, an independent corporate finance boutique, where he gained a broad range of transaction experience. John started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers working in the Transaction Services Group following qualifying as an ACA.

Grant is Co-Head of UK Private Debt at Muzinich & Co. Before joining Muzinich, Grant was at Investec and Lyceum Capital where he was responsible for the origination and execution of funding opportunities in the U.K. lower mid-market. He earned a degree from Bristol University in Maths and French and is ACA qualified.

Yuri joined Muzinich in February 2020 in the Aviation Finance Team. Prior to that, Yuri spent 8 years at Investec, where he was instrumental in establishing and growing the aviation debt funds platform. His experience includes origination and structuring of multiple leasing transactions in the Middle East, as well as senior and mezzanine debt globally, including structuring innovative rated products for institutional investors. Yuri earned a BA and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Oxford.

Brian joined Muzinich in February 2020. He is a portfolio manager focusing on aviation finance. Prior to joining Muzinich, Brian was at Investec Bank plc, where he was a Fund Executive responsible for the establishment and day to day running of its dedicated aviation debt fund platform. Brian was also responsible for originating sale and leaseback transactions for airline clients globally, and has M&A experience involving the purchase of an established aircraft leasing company. Brian started his banking career in 2007 with UBS investment bank, followed by a short stint with Lloyds Banking Group. Brian earned a Masters in Engineering, Economics & Management from the University of Oxford.

Tom joined Muzinich in February 2020 as a Portfolio Manager. Previously Tom was with Investec Bank plc where he was a Fund Executive responsible for the establishment and day to day management of leasing activities as well as investor relations. Tom has overseen the exit of two aircraft leasing funds. He has extensive relationships with global airlines and leasing companies and has executed aircraft acquisitions from both these sources. Tom was also responsible for the origination of loans and has relationships with global banks and financial institutions. In addition to origination Tom has experience in management of assets having worked on restructurings, repossessions and work outs globally. Tom Earned a Masters of Science in Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Howard is Managing Director of Private Debt, Pan-Europe. Prior to joining Muzinich, Howard spent three years working in the Specialised Finance Unit at Allied Irish Banks. He had responsibility for sourcing, structuring and executing the bank’s subordinated, unitranche and alternative debt investments in Ireland and the UK. Previously, he worked on the bank’s Deleveraging Transaction Team. Howard started his career at Deloitte in 2008, working in their Corporate Finance department. He earned a B.A. in Economics and Business from University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Ashwath spent eleven years at Investec as part of the Aviation Finance business, where he originated and structured sale and leaseback transactions as well as financings with airlines and Lessors in Asia and Middle East. Ashwath has extensive relationships with airlines, aircraft lessors and financial institutions in Asia. Ashwath holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

Luis is Co-Head of European Senior Secured Private Debt. Before joining Muzinich & Co. in 2015, Luis was Head of Leveraged Finance & Sponsors for Iberia at Credit Suisse focusing on corporate debt origination based in Madrid. Previously, Luis held a number of senior positions in corporate & investment banking in London, most recently as Head of Debt Finance for Southern Europe at Barclays and prior to that at ABN AMRO where he was an Associate Director in the investment banking division covering European clients in the Telecoms & Media sectors. Luis started his investment banking career at Merrill Lynch where he worked at the generalist Corporate Finance & M&A teams in Madrid and London. Luis holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering from UPC (Spain) and a MBA from Duke University and ESADE Business School, where he is a guest lecturer at the Executive Master in Finance.

Marcello is Head of Capital Solutions of Muzinich SGR, Muzinich’s Italian subsidiary. Marcello has over 35 years of experience in the banking sector, in particular Banco di Roma/Capitalia (Head of the Non-Performing Loans Department) and Unicredit (Head of Restructuring), having handled over €40 billion of impaired loans. Marcello was Director of REV, a bad bank set up by Bankitalia for the management of non-performing loans of Banca Marche and Banca Etruria (about €13 billion). He was appointed CEO of Fintecna, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDP and subsequently Head of CDP Internal Audit.

Alexandre joined Muzinich in 2022 to strengthen and lead the Firm’s French direct lending activities. Previously, he worked at LGT Private Debt where he spent over ten years focused on the origination and execution of transactions including unitranche and mezzanine debt, primarily in France but also in Spain and Italy. He also has experience in Private Equity and M&A respectively at Equistone in Paris and Nomura International in London. Alexandre holds a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe.

Sebastian joined Muzinich in 2018 to build up the private debt franchise in the DACH region. He works on flexible financing solutions across the capital structure including senior debt, unitranche, mezzanine, and minority equity – both for sponsored and non-sponsored situations.
Previously, he was a Vice President in Leveraged Finance at Bank of Ireland and arranged debt facilities to support the financing of leveraged buyout transactions for mid- and large cap private equity clients. He started his career in Investment Banking at Robert W. Baird where he executed M&A transactions and worked on debt advisory assignments. Sebastian holds a MSc in Finance from the University of Liechtenstein, is a CFA Charterholder and also a trained banker.
